your IGP is simply too old to display some of the stuff in newer campaigns, hence the poor image quality.
you simply copy the three files into your guild wars installation folder. it's usually at C:\program files\guild wars.

if you are running windows XP, it can unzip right out of the box. just right click on the zip file and click on extract. if you have windows 2000 or earlier, you'll need to download software such as winrar. do a search on it.
no, there's no way to upgrade an IGP. the only real way to "upgrade" them is to buy yourself a graphic card. however, given your IGP model, your system is old enough that you'd consider replacing the entire computer.

Right ok thanks very much for explaining that to me
I just have a query to make:
I used 3danalyze about 6 months ago andx then started playing Guild wars again now, and it used to run very well, I could load the areas without anything wrong with the picture such as weird patches of colour and sometimes certain areas are all black ( this is what I am experiencing now) . This is on the same computer perhaps it could be due to it getting older?

Thank you so much for the fix! I never thought I would be able to do half the areas in EoTN on my netbook, but now I can.
Excellent.

Hey moriz, hope you’re still doing these fixes. My girl friend is having troubles, it first started in the repeatable primary quest Warband of Brothers in EotN (I had to do it for her), and now she can’t get into many other areas. We’re trying to do Finding Gadd and she is stuck in an outpost. If you can help us out I’d be very grateful.
Her graphics card is an Intel 82865G Graphics Controller
Thank you so much.

Big, BIG Thank You for this fix!
For a time I thought I might have lost my main char just by trying to map into Rata Sum. What confuses me is that I have been playing on my netbook for a while with no problems of this kind in any other city.

I'm running GW on my netbook wich has an Intel GMA 950 in it.
Cities like Rata Sum/central transfer chamber make me have to reset my charcters on my computer, does this fix that?
Added a few command lines and turned everything to a minimum but it still runs like a slidehow, wich doesn't bother me.
Should I even try this fix with that gma (950)?

Not sure if this is the proper place to put this, but I have found a tweak that allows people to run GW on the Intel 945GM chipset (found on a lot of older netbooks, such as the MSI Wind U100 I have) without needing to use 3DAnalyzer.
When I tried using the "UDE_fix" from this post on my 945GM (yes, I know it's not a GMA3150 or a GMA 500, but the 945GM has the same issues as those two chipsets with GW!), it did not work.
It seems, if you have a 945GM and you dload and install this tweak for the GMA500 to the GW directory, and then run a shortcut to GW using the "-dx7 -noshaders" preferences added to the shortcut's command line, the game will start and work fine without 3DAnalyzer.
At least it does for me! Hope this helps people from having to rely on a third party application! The framerate isn't great, especially in cities or towns with a lot of people, but to me it's playable enough. I usually play GW on my brand new desktop anyway, so dealing with it having a low FPS on my netbook from time to time to pass the time with friends is certainly no problem!
For reference, my system stats are:
MSI Wind U100 Netbook:
Windows XP Home
1.6ghz Intel Atom Processor (2.0ghz when plugged into the wall and with the 1.09G BIOS' Turbo Mode functionality active)
On-board Intel 945GM Graphics chipset with 128mb RAM
1gb RAM
160gb HDD

One Way you can try
Short Version :
One very simple way that worked with my Laptop is :
Run into the Portal (like to Rata Sum) and then just minimize your Screen immediately when you hit it.
Wait for like 10 to 15 seconds?, listen to your Pc rummaging and then maximize the Window.
If you are lucky you are in Rata Sum now and you can walk around without problems.
If it works you need to do that with every Portal in EoN, that means every time in a Dungeon you have to think about it.But I could finish with this Trick.
The basic trick seems to separate Screen loading from Data loading.
Don´t ask me why it works!
How i got the Idea ? Well, the first time it loaded me automatically to Rata Sum i could walk around there so i knew my Laptop had the capacity do the Graphics.
So this sounds strange but try it.
Good luck !!

Is someone able to upload the files for this fix and provide a link please? I could do with this for my netbook, but I can't find anywhere else on the internet to fetch the fix from.
Thanks.

GW is only ~4GB so if you can't get the files you could install it onto a USB stick and then run it on any computer you can access. There are probably some public access ones at a library or somewhere that you could use if you don't live near anyone you know whose computer you could borrow.
As far as getting the files goes, try PMing the OP. They haven't logged in since 2011 but it will send them an email notification. Let me know if you get them so I can back them up.
